KNOCK DETECTIVE GEN 2
The Knock Detective is an easy-to-use audio knock detection device stuffed into a 52mm gauge. After bolting the included knock sensor(s) to your engine and connecting the Knock Detective, you can plug in headphones and listen for knock events while tuning. The device also features a bright LED display with configurable sensitivity to alert the user of engine-damaging knock events. The user can also connect the 0-5V output to an analog input on their ECU and use it to datalog the knock levels, which can really help nail down your ignition tuning.

good thing to have, works like its supposed to and makes tuning easy and stressless, also good thing to have after tuning for knocking in hot weather or if you have too hot plugs, really any reason for detonating its nice to have info about it. tuned my car at street and this really made it easy. Installion was easy plug and play
This gauge is a huge game changer for true diy customers and professionals pushing their cars to the max! It is super simple to use and adjust. It helped me tune my turbo Miata with confidence! Would definitely recommend to people who want to push their car just a little bit more with the extra confidence of having this as knock protection! This is a true must with all builds.
This is an excellent device for safe tuning, especially for the enthusiast that is on the newer side to tuning, like myself. I love that Knock Detective can be used to audibly listen for knock, but even better is the ability to detect knock visibly without headphones once the sensor calibration is dialed in. My unit conveniently arrived the week before a track day, where it was put to use and found an instance of knock in the upper RPM range. This thing is awesome!
Outstanding tool for dialing in timing on a dual carb beetle, I have kadron carbs on the engine and they like to lean out an full throttle , being able to monitor a dial timing in has be great. Vw engine is a noisy thing always so hearing knock can be difficult, this takes the guess work out. highly recommended
If you are considering this gauge and push your engine hard, just get it. You spent too much time and money to risk destroying the rotating assembly and cylinders because of knock and at the very least this will give you peace of mind. Mine went into a B20 Honda block build from Dart and 4Piston running 12.5:1 compression on not-E-85 with a rather large turbo, so knock wasn't an if but a when. This gauge not only saved the engine but helped me squeeze a lot more juice out of it comfortably!
Nice to have a quality piece in my car that actually works. The piece of mind is well worth the money compared to a hurt engine. Definitely recommend
